On this page, you’ll find resources to make your experiences the best they can be. Remember, we try to focus on the Outing in Scouting, and want Scouts to learn to Be Prepared to camp. We take several backpacking trips a year, and we camp year round. So, you’ll find resources on how to stay warm, gear lists, and how to outfit a Scout. Click on links below for posts:

Online shopping can be tricky, without getting to dial in perfect fit, but is a good way to get better quality gear for cheaper prices. Anyone shopping for new gear or apparel would be wise to begin by visiting sites like the outlets for REI and backcountry.com, Sierra Trading Post, theclymb.com, and even others like Amazon andoverstock.com, and sites like eBay and Craig’s List for used gear. Of course the BSA Scout Shop in person or Scout Shop Online is an excellent place to purchase gear with no sales tax.
