Successful overnighter for Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. I guess part of survival is learning to operate on little sleep – good prep for college!

A little damp put all are well.

Ceremony was really moving tonight, retiring Old Glory. Lots of Troops brought flags to contribute and all veterans and current public servants were able to participate, including our own Mr. Quinn. Even included a 21 gun salute and bugle taps. We thanked our flags and those who served and payed our respect!

Really peaceful as we await this respectful ceremony.

For anyone worried (like me) our Scouts came back after an hour and a half in the rain; overnighter canceled. Decent amount of lightning, so that was the right call.

(Of course, now it’s clearing up! But not sure if that will last.)
